Does it matter if I mix up the valves from different products?
The Explora valves are the same throughout the entire non-spill range. Your cup will work fine as long as you have assembled the valve correctly.
-
Can I heat liquid in the Explora cups?
Explora cups are designed to hold warm drinks but are not designed for the drink to be heated in the cup. Ideally, the liquid should be warmed out of the cup and transferred to the cup when it is ready for your child to drink. We do not recommend heating liquids in the microwave anyway as heat pockets can be created.
-
Can my Explora cup be sterilised?
All Explora cups are suitable for sterilisation by steam (electric and microwave), boiling (5 minutes) or cold water tablet/liquid solution. Also, all are suitable for sterilisation by steam in a microwave except the Active Sipper and Active Straw cups, due to their insulation properties.
-
Are spare spouts and other spare parts available?
Unfortunately, we do not offer spare spouts. However, the spout will last for as long as the child should need them unless the child chews or bites it excessively. If this is the case, we recommend using a different style of cup with a harder, more robust spout.
We do offer spare valves. If you require a spare valve, please contact us. -
Why has the cup stained an orange colour?
The only time we have come across the cups staining is if they have been washed in the dishwasher with items which have residues of strong coloured sauces e.g. tomato or carrot or oil based foods.
-
Why is the cup leaking?
The silicone valve may not have been assembled correctly, ensure the valve is pushed through the white retainer.
-
Are the cups and beakers dishwasher safe?
Every cup in the Explora range is dishwasher safe, but they should only be washed using the top shelf of the dishwasher.
-
My cup is leaking?
If you find that the lippee cup is leaking it may be due to the lid being over tightened as it can damage the screw ring inside. Be sure not to tighten too much to avoid this. Another point to note is that we also recommend storing the cup upright when full as the cup is not leak proof due to its design.
-
How do I know I have the lid assembled correctly?
The lid will be correct when the lid dot aligns with the screw ring and can be pressed down upon.
-
The lid cannot be pushed down upon, what can I do?
If the lid cannot be pressed down upon then the valve may be assembled incorrectly. Here’s some guidelines to help:
To re-assemble your lippee cup simply turn the screw ring upside down, placing the silicone disk inside with the grooves facing up. Next, take the lid top, pushing it up through the hole in the silicone disk aligning the locking connector. Then twist to lock. Place the lid on the base remembering to align the two dots on the back.
-
Is the cup dishwasher safe?
We're pleased to advise that every cup in our new range is dishwasher safe. The only factor to take into consideration is that they should only be placed on the top shelf.
-
Can I sterilise the cup?
Of course! Our cups are suitable for sterilisation by steam (electric and microwave), boiling (5 minutes) or cold water tablet / liquid solution.
